(Younger, when a Apprentice.)
(When Darth Tandrex, a Sith Lord.)
Personality: Raven is extremely silent and rarely speaks. She is cold, calculating and cruel person. She is rarely angered and never kind. She always uses her wits and power to instill fear in her allies and enemies alike, or she uses stealth and covers up her ways, using seduction and persuasion to get what she wants.
History: Raven was born on the Mandalore to her mother Zeta Tandrex, a slave to the Mandalorians. Years before, during a raid on a colony in the outer rim, Zeta was captured by a Mandalorian raiding party and turned into a slave. She was taken for personal use by one Mandalorian warrior for a short time and after a few years of captivity, she gave birth to Raven.
Her first few years as a baby then a youngling were hard for both her and her mother. At the age of 5, she was immediately taken from her mother to a rich Mandalorian family to be brought up as a servant. She never saw her mother again. This emotionally shattered Raven, as she had developed a close bond with her, being one of the only people who ever cared for her.
As she was brought up in the Mandalorian household, she quickly learned her way around and worked as hard as she could, being a obediant slave and learning everything she was taught and more, easily. As she learned the skills and life of being a servant, she grew slowly to hate her Mandalorian captors. She kept this hidden but always thought of it.
As she got to know the other 'staff' over the next year, she learned as much as she could from them, gained their trust, and found out all about the estate and surrounding area, knowing that it could always be useful to have a mental map of the region and to be ready.
At the age of 6, she knew the entire landscape for miles around and had become the top serving girl in the estate. She had also become good friends with several of the other serving staff and even a few of the guards of the area.
One night, she was awoken by one of the serving staff, accompanied by a guard, who alerted her that they had found a way for them to get out. The guard was willing to help them in exchange that he could join them as well in fleeing, as he had never excelled in the Mandalorian society and wished to leave it. Raven quickly gathered what few possessions she had and fled the room with her companions, following them down hallways. A short time later they had reached the exit of the estate though were stopped by 2 armed guards.
The rogue guard and serving man both flung themselves at the two guards, yelling for Raven to run. She did so at fast as she could go. A few minutes later, she heard several pairs of feet running and then a few blaster bolts, then a thud. She kept running. She learned later from the serving man that the guard had been shot from a distance by the reinforcements as he held off them all for as long as he could. Raven and the man escaped to the countryside and to a nearby town, finding a smuggler to get them off planet. The old man payed for their passage with what few credits he had and could scrounge up.
The smuggler got them off-planet and away to Nar Shaddaa, where the old man and Raven split ways. Raven went off and eventually to give herself a living, she started to beg, pickpocket, and rob small homes to feed and cloth herself.
She continued this for several years, with many encounters with angry residents, some police officers, and lots of chases. One time she even offended a wookie and was chased through half of the city before the wookie finally lost interest. This continued till she was 8 years old. One day, a cloaked figure came up to her hidden sleeping hole. He silently observed Raven for a time before awakening her and talking to her for a short time. Raven had been dumb-founded when the man awoke her, as her home was hidden extremely well within a garbage dump, in a cavern she had made in a large pile.
After several minutes, the man finally introduced himself as Kep'lori. He offered to Raven to train her in many things if she would come under his service. He would feed and clothe her, give her a normal place to sleep, and a new life if she would just come under his service. She thought of it for a time before finally accepting. Kep'lori took her with him to a small warehouse in the poor district of the area. Here, he revealed that he was a Dark Jedi and was to make her his personal apprentice.
Raven was surprised, though eventually threw off the shock and accepted the fact. Kep'lori fed her and gave her a black robe of her exact size, then sent her to bed. She accepted all of this silently and enjoyed the comforting sleep. Next morning, training began.
Firstly, her master began by testing her capabilities in the force and physical abilities. He found that she had extremely good practice in stealth, pickpocketing, robbing, and even killing if needed, though her Force abilities weren't as easy to detect as they were hidden deep down within her. He soon began teaching her lightsaber combat, using his lightsaber and a training blade. This, along with techniques to bring out her Force capabilities, were continually taught every day, including better teaching in the basic skills such as stealth, how to use stealth, daggers, etc.
After several months of non-stop training, Raven's master was able to unlock her potential. They found she had a enormous well of power, though it was extremely wild. Kep'lori quickly started putting most of their time into training of lightsaber combat and the Force, then eventually her education on history, math, language, etc.
Another year went by, and Raven had become a adept lightsaber wielder and highly educated. As her 9th birthday approached, she trained harder then usual so she would be ready for her first 'break' in months. On her birthday, she was allowed to roam the city for a time and use her new abilities and skills.
She immediately went out and searched the city, having rarely had the chance to explore sense she had become Kep'lori's apprentice. After only a few hours, she had caused massive mayhem in a cantina, gotten someone else arrested for her crime, and been chased a dozen times by police officers again. By the time she returned 'home', she had caused at least a dozen crimes, gotten several children and even adults wounded, and frightened a innumerable amount of individuals. Kep'lori questioned her for a time on everything she did and the results, impressed with everything she had done in one day.
Another year went by with much more detailed training, including a increase in schooling, lightsaber styles, and other skills, such as how to hack computers or to pick locks. This continued till she was 10 before anything interesting occurred. A week after her 10th birthday, she was given one of her first assignments: she was to kill a nearby individual who was causing several problems for Kep'lori, coming close to finding out about them and poking his nose where it shouldn't be. She was to kill him as silently and stealthily as possible so that it wasn't traced to either of them.
She immediately went out with her few pieces of equipment and started her mission, tracking down her prey. It was a simple and quick mission, though with one catch. She was seen by another individual. As she had found her prey right in his home, his wife arrived. The woman screamed and alerted some neighbors. Raven quickly finished off the woman as well before escaping onto the roof and going from rooftop to rooftop, heading for home.
She quickly returned and was praised for her success, especially in such a dangerous situation when the wife arrived, though he reprimanded her for even being seen by one person other then the target, despite the mission's success. He advanced her training even more after that day, teaching her even more advanced techniques and letting her read some age-old texts that he had taken from other masters who were now dead.
Several years went by, and her 13th birthday arrived. After having gone through several differant missions and much more extensive training program, she was now a extremely efficient assassin and warrior when needed. On her birthday, she was given the parts needed to make whatever lightsabers or sabers she wanted, however they looked. She immediately went to work.
She began on her first one, using a thin black lightsaber hilt with the focusing lens and such needed to build it, then taking a common blood red crystal from the small pile and installing it. She then built a stocky, short, black and silver hilt with a darker red blade crystal. She quickly put the finishing touches into them, including unique tracking devices that she could 'see' with her Force Seeing vision and a small symbol of the Sith welded into the very hilts of the blades.
She quickly tested them out, finding they worked excellantly. She quickly started training herself with the help of her master and one of the tomes he owned in the form of Jar'kai. She quickly learned the basics of the form, then started to learn bit by bit more of it.
As the years went by her training was coming near ending. As her 16th birthday came and went, she finally thought she'd learned all she could from her master as he kept teaching her the same things just a little bit added here and there. She thought he must have been holding something back or similar, so decided on a plan of action. One night, she went quietly to her master's room and snuck in, trying her best to use Force and physical stealth to ensure he didn't know she hadn't been there.
She stole several of his tomes and took them to her room, quickly reading them as fast as she could and putting everything to memory with the help of the Force. That night she learned a unique ability: Drain Knowledge. She quickly memorized it and tested it once on a small rat nearby, just taking in its few worthless memories to see if she knew it. She quickly finished reading the tomes and snuck back into her master's room, putting them away before going over to him.
She surprised him quickly, using her newly learned ability on him, taking him completely off guard. She gathered all the information of training he had, from Force abilities to combat forms and such. They stood there, frozen, for over a hour, her mind scouring throughout his mind underneath his mental resistance. She finally extracted everything and pulled out, weak and dazed for a moment before bringing herself awake and pulling out her lightsabers.
She jumped back and quickly, she and her master dueled, to the death. She had learned all the knowledge of her master and every technique he had ever learned, though she had never practiced any of it and her body wasn't trained in them, so she wasn't able to use most of them. They fought for a time, neither of them gaining a edge, before finally Kep'lori slipped once. Raven immediately took the advantage and was able to get under his guard and stab him. She then quickly finished him off with a slice at the neck, severing his head from his body. So ended their relationship. She fell unconscious quickly and rested for a day.
When she awoke a day later, she quickly gathered everything in her 'home', credits, tomes, tools, valuables, possessions, etc, her's and her master's, and went away. She immediately went to a nearby ship dealer and used what credits she had to buy a starfighter, a old Sith Interceptor. When the dealer proved slightly annoying, she slit his throat with a single swipe of a lightsaber. Nobady was in the vicinity and didn't find out till much later of his death. By then, she had left Nar Shaddaa with what few possessions she had to go and explore the galaxy for knowledge, power artifacts, whatever she could find out there.
Years went by with her going from planet to planet, discovering things here and there, while gathering new skills. As she traveled, she practiced many of the techniques and force training she had ripped from her master's mind, eventually training herself in many things that a master should of.
As she turned 19, she finally considered herself trained enough to be considered a Knight. She studied several of the older tomes of her master's, reading about the rituals and such about this part of her life, finding the names of what she could be, their purposes, etc. She finally chose to be a Sith Assassin and immediately proceeded to do the rituals, quickly finishing them and finally becoming what she had set to be for years.
As the days went by, she noticed that a large pool of power was hidden within herself. She was able to quickly master abilities, use them easily, etc, such as Drain Knowledge, Life, and Force, Fear and Insanity, and other abilities of that nature.
After several months of training and random traveling, she set her eyes on Korriban. As she arrived, she could tell this was the right way to go. She slowly but surely directed her small starfighter to a piece of open ground near the Valley of Sith Lords, then made her way towards it. After several hours traveling she made it, looking upon the ancient tombs of Sith Lords long gone.
She made her way to each one of them, exploring and reading ancient words, despite the fact she didn't understand them. She did so to each tomb, and killing anything or anyone in her way as she did so. Eventually she came to Naga Sadow's tomb and entered. Immediately she felt something powerful here and that should be her's. She went in deeper and deeper till she came to a empty room where the actual tomb was.
As she decided to leave, the thing she was searching for found her. As she was just about to leave, a dark shade quickly entered her spirit and mind, keeping her from leaving. She froze as her mind and spirit was ripped to pieces, then over time, put back together bit by bit in a strange way. The process took a day without her knowing. As the shade finished, she finally regained control of her body, falling over and barely staying awake. As the shade left, it whispered to her. 'Spread corruption, death, and misery in my name, child.... You shall be my instrument and shall soon be known as one of the most powerful beings in the galaxy... Nexx.'
As she awoke, she realized what her goal was and her new name and purpose: To spread death, destruction, chaos, and misery to the galaxy, as Darth Nexx. She immediately left the tomb and went back to her ship, leaving Korriban for now. (WIP)
